149 keeps idling down
 

Tried to get my potatoes in this weekend, looking like maybe later this week due to technical difficulties.

Finally got all the parts together to make my 149 and #1 tiller one and ran into some issues when I tried to put her to work. For one, I smoked the rear PTO belt from running a standard 5" off the shelf lower pulley on the gearbox without any kind of spacer. Will remedy that asap with the proper pulley, or a proper spacer. I was in too much of a hurry to do it right the first time, now I have to do it twice.

While running the machine, the throttle kept wanting to creep back to idle. I rev it up, and it works it's way back to part throttle all on it's own unless I hold the throttle control in place with my right hand.

P.O. put a Chinese carb on it, otherwise stock appearing K341. Needs the trunion work done, too. I feel that these minor issues will help me to truly appreciate this machine when it's finally in full working order.

tighten the friction nut on the throttle lever, it's under the dash.
