Fuel shut off solenoid wiring
well I got my D600 running a few months ago now and the warmer weather has me wishing the fuel shut off solenoid was hooked up.
so I made a bracket and wired it up black wire to ground white wire to "s" terminal on starter red wire to ignition wire when I try to start it the solenoid pulls in but soon as It starts and I let off the key it pops out and kills the engine. isn't 12 volts to the red wire supposed to hold in the solenoid? if I put 12 v directly to the red wire from the battery it doesn't hold it in either any thoughts? oh yea D600 swapped to 2084 |
The Fuel Solenoid should only have one wire and the body is ground. That wire would go to the "R" terminal on the Ignition Switch.
I am "guessing" but it seems the White Wire should go to the R terminal. Since I don't know what your D600 came out of, that is my best guestimate. |
