1772 Diesel drive shaft wobble

I have a 1772 Diesel with a drive shaft wobble at the clutch disconnect. Instead of replacing the disconnect clutch, will a 2072 or 1872 drive shaft and flange bolt right up? I've heard of using a newer diesel CV joint drive shaft how hard is that to install what needs to be done? In other words what's the quickest cheapest and most durable fix?

Jeff in PA can hook you up with the CV adapters. Find a good used 1863 or 1864 complete drive shaft.

Thanks Sam :beerchug:

These two adapters ( in the attached picture) and the CV driveshaft will give you a much stronger driveshaft. There is also a fan support in the picture too.

If you need the driveshaft altered in length, I can do that too. I also have brand new balls for the CV joints, O rings and 1/4-20 SHCS ( socket head cap screws ) for bolting it on.

The right picture is the pump adapter for the splined shaft.

I have purchased these parts from Jeff on three different occasions now, for my own and customer projects. Great quality and perfect fit. I highly recommend you consider this option.
