Rotary Copperhead
 

Anyone have any experience with this brand of blade (Rotary Copperhead) , we do not have a great choice in Oz mostly genuine or nothing is our range
Any help/advice appreciated

I have never heard of this company. The "mulching" blades is what I assume you are referencing. Looks similar the the Gator Blade design here in the States. I have run Gator brand blades on my deck for 10+ years now. They definitely chop up the fall leaves.

I agree with Roland on the leaves,
If mowing/mulching is done when the leaves are dry, they disappear and turn into mulch over the winter season.
Also:
There is somewhat less lift in heavy/wet grass, and clippings are not thrown out of the discharge chute as far compared to regular mower blades.
But shorter clippings are produced, so they seem to be less noticeable if the grass is heaver.
Also my experience has been the mulching blades don't last quite as long, especially in sandy soil with sparse grass coverage, as the lift/mulching fingers wear quicker than the solid lift part, of regular cutting blades.
My findings are on blades installed on a 50c on a 782, and 50A on a 1650 cub.
IIRR,
I have used rotary brand as well as Windsor & Stens.
I prefer Windsor blades for my application, as the end finger it wider and lifts a tad better.
But I'm sure different models of decks, have different mulching design blades.
And as Roland stated, we tend to call them "Gator" blades but not always.

Yep thats them Ironman , I presume GA is Georgia
We call them Gator blades down here also but my difficulty is the range for my deck is very limited (Cub GT2550)
No one makes a gator style blade to suit that I can find
The deck is a 50" triple blade each 17.9" in length Cub Cadet part no 759-04047 round hole
Genuine blades around $90.00 per set Rotary Copperhead $70.00 per set in Oz
Copperhead has an extensive catalogue but not for this bloke
Anyway that the story if anyone can add any additional info it would be greatly appreciated

P.S. down here we also call a Spade a Spade not a Shovel

OREGON makes the GATOR blades. I don't know if they are available in Oz.

OREGON has two styles that replace Cub Cadet part 759-04047
96-387 is a G3 GATOR blade
596-387 is a G5 GATOR blade

Did find something on the Cub site a blade 01010168=X that may be the trick will follow through with the Diesel Doctor (aka Stan)

Followed through and postage is a killer , Oregon do make 2 Gator blades to suit however they are not imported into Australia
Cub also make a Gator blade I discovered but again not imported
So its standard blades or nothing
