Hey man, no need to spend that kind of money. There is very little difference between a hydro spread frame, and that of a 82 series gear drive.
Here, take a look: The drive hub and 3 pin driver from a blown k181 out of a model 86, bolts up perfectly in every aspect that I can realize, to my series two 17 Kohler twin. Now, any bets that the transmission from the 86 is not a direct bolt in? That leaves me with the issue of not having the clutch release support bracket. I'll have to rework and rebuild the 86 clutch and look into the driveline lengths.
Anyone done this conversion?
