1541 add on

I got a 1541 cub given to me from my grandparents. I was wondering how hard would it be to add another hydraulic lever so i can run a angled plow. Any advice or what i need would be greatly appreciated. This guys getting too old to keep jumping back and forth moving it.

First off welcome to OCC!

It’s do-able without too much work if you can find the parts. There was a lot from MTD to do it back in the day but they are no longer available, so you’ll need to scour ebay or a parts yard to find the stuff you’ll need.

Those parts are hard to source. You might have better luck finding a tractor that is already set up. A super, like a 1872, would be good.

It's a different setup on a cyclops. I believe it's actually a bit eaiser to source the stuff for dual spool on a cyclops style valves since you "stack" them instead of having to find a dual spool valve and plumbing and whatnot.

The kit # is 759-3493A and the installation manual is 772-4100A. Google "772-4100A Manual" and you will find a pdf file with instructions and parts needed. Note the "N" tube with your serial number to see if you need it. I have many of the "L" tube used on all air cooled models. Other parts are fairly easy to come up with.

Its a pretty straight forward job to do. There are quite a few valves on ebay now. You will also need the lines that go into the valve which you should also find on ebay. Theres a fitting you need that fits between the two valves to stack them, part #711-3294, this part you will find listed under a gt3200 series garden tractor under auxiliary hydraulics. The dash needs to be cut to accommodate the second valve and its your choice on how your going to add on to the used lines to reach the front!

Guess I have to eat crow on this one. I was wrong about the parts being hard to locate.

There was a member making the extend/retract label. The would be a nice finishing touch.

Found it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cub-Cadet-7...IAAOSwsZJbP7V3
