Hydraulic question
I have a 1450 with dual hydraulics that I have snow blower attachment. It recently began to leak hydraulic oil and will not fully lower the snow blower. I believe it is the main assembly. In beginning to look at parts, I found the the dual assembly is expensive compared to the single. Question: Can I make the switch to a single assembly with using the same fitting and hoses? Then just remove the second line. Thanks for any help or insight.

First off welcome to OCC!
So if I am understanding you correctly, You have a double acting cylinder, "power up and power down" and you want to put a single acting cylinder in place of it? Power up and gravity down? |
Hey Misch,, make sure the hydraulic connectors are FULLY plugged in,,,
if the connector is partly out, the attachment will not go down,,, |
The front outlets have nothing to do with raising and lowering the thrower.
It is controlled with the same lever that lifts the deck when it's installed. Are you sure the depth stop, the thing with the black knob on the right side of the frame by your foot, is not keeping the unit from fully lowering.? Best bet is to remove that stop for use w/a thrower as it needs to be on the ground fully, all the time. Also make sure the lockout pin, that is IF you have one, IS NOT in place as it will not allow the unit to "float" |
