last week, I got my hydraulic pump put back on , so now im able to lift the deck! well I mowed for about an hr and the motor started making a wierd noise, kinda like the pto springs were loose and making noise, but thats not what it was, it was more of a pinging sound coming from the front , like from the head or piston. if I throttled it down it got better, so I throttled it back up and attempte to put a load on and it would start doing it again, and would loose power. if i put it under load it got worse. well I decided to shut it off, let it cool down and see if it will start back up. Well it hasnt started since, I replaced the points and condenser and did the static timing procedure from MATT. still it just rolls over. Its getting spark and gas???? what ya think?

If you have spark, gas, and everything's happening at the right time, you are probably missing the third part: compression. I'd pull the head and see what's going on. Sounds like the rod is about to let go or the piston broke or something.
