Box blade from scrap
 

I know the color is going to get more comments than the blade but need to work out any kinks before paint.

I have wanted something to use my 149 with for a long time and couldn’t bring myself to spent any money on the few new implements I’ve seen posted on varies places so I just made one.

Have to wait until the new starter solenoid shows up on Monday to try it out. If it works I will have nothing invested but the wire, gas and time since all the metal came from my scrap pile.

What do you have for a hitch on that 149?

Not sure I understand you question.

All it had on it was the strap that bolts to the rear end with the three holes and the rod on the rock shaft.

Just curious if you were using the stock hitch. That's kind of a large implement to be pulling on just the three bottom bolts. I'd hate for you to damage the rear housing. Seeing as you're handy with the welder you could make up something like I did...

Now I follow you. Yes I’m a little concerned about that as well. I was contemplating making my own three point set up and noticed how those kits use the axle bolts just like you did. I have been considering doing something for additional strength.

Did you use longer bolts on the axle tubes?
