BRIGHT, Cheap, and Easy LED Headlight Upgrade
 

Here's a cheap, easy, and VERY bright way to upgrade your headlights to 50 Watt equivalent while only using 9 Watts! I got a pair of these for one of my Cub Cadet SGT's and I absolutely love them. And on top of them being brighter, they use A LOT less power to light up than the stock ones. They are the same color when lit as well, not that super bright white/bluish tint that many other LEDs are.

Are you sure these will last? Seems they are made to be still, don't know if they'll last with the vibration, and or heat from the engine.:bigthink:

I dont know about these specific ones but the ones from superbrightleds.com are great. Last well. Made of glass and dont seem to be bothered by vibrations or the heat.

These are made from glass and are probably the same exact ones as what you see on Superbrightleds.com site. I've been running them on one of my SGT and no issues with vibration or heat and they're holding up great and nice and bright.

One of the issues that came out when LEDs were being used in bushes/shrubs for Christmas lights is that they did not heat up enough to melt snow. So, when snows came, the lights were hidden underneath. LED headlights might not be the best way to see or be seen if you have a wet snow that adheres to the lights if the exhaust is ported out of the side of the tractor.

yup I bought a few sets from that superbrightleds site. I have one that got cracked in a "brand orange" machine, still works though. They are actually made as an outdoor lighting bulb, think garden path, pool area lights, etc....
within 2 days after getting my order from that website I was in Lowe's and they had a pile of them marked down to 3.XX each...about half of them on the shelf were cracked in package but there were still 5-6 or so that weren't. Yes they were a 12v bulb. If I hadn't have just bought the ones I did online, I'd have scooped up those that weren't cracked, from Lowe's. They were pushed back on the shelf, not very obvious.... IDK if they are still there... need to look since I have how used up the ones I had bought online. I think I paid ~$10-11 per bulb online.

Mine have been working well in my cyclops. They must resist vibration well, because I just noticed the mounting posts on my nose piece broke and theyve been ratting around on the muffler heatshield :biggrin2:

Mine (posted about a month ago) in the 782D are running fine. Mine have the ~30 LED's distributed around the surface of the inner bulb just like these. I like the looks of them rather than the ones that have just 8 or so large LED's .

When lit, these things are REALLY bright, and there's no sense of individual LED's in the bulb, just a uniform lit surface.

was going to order 4 for my two cubs till i went to checkout and they charge shipping separate for each one so your paying +/- 15 each instead of the 8-9 advertised.
