129 dies at wot

Hello All
My 129 is acting up and I can not find a cure. It runs fine sitting still, at wot and low throttle, But when you start to move all is good till I get above 3/4 speed, At any throttle. Then it just starts to spit and sputter and dies. I rebuilt the carburetor, adjusted the points, did static timing, new fuel filter. Still the same thing. any help PLEASE.
TY.

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue.

What kind of fuel filter did you use? No sediment bowl?

Check the condenser wire where it enters the condenser for fraying or broken completely and just sitting there.:beerchug:

Sounds like fuel to me too. It'll need more fuel at WOT under load when on the governor than it will at WOT sitting still.

Something plugged up before the filter (sediment bowl, shut off valve on fuel tank etc), your filter is too restrictive, you've got a bad fuel line or it's pinched somewhere, or your carb rebuild didn't 100% work. Gas tank could also be slightly plugged up.

It could also be something in the ignition jiggling and shorting out when you're moving too.

Its a fuel issue. Today I went out and found gas all over. So Im thinking its the float. What do you all think. Will try to post a picture.

What is your definition of rebuilding the Carb...??? Did you clean the Carb completely...???

Gas running out of carb does indicate float adjustment. Did the gas come from carb "you stated all over" or from a line or the tank. If it came from carb then yes, it would be a float adjustment. However that does not necessarily mean that is the same issue for WOT.

Or trash has gotten in carb and holding needle open. Sounds like complete tank and carb cleaning/adjustment is needed again.
