Cub Cadet Paint Scheme

Recently Cub Cadet moved to the fully yellow with black accents color scheme. I am sure it was a marketing move.

Myself, I prefer the old scheme either the beige hood, yellow fenders, and blue accents....

Anyone else have preference on the color scheme?

So for me I would rather keep my GTX2100 then get a newer XT3.

I would rather have a Cub made before the cyclops series, (pretty 1988-ish) painted in the original yellow and white. Or red. I've got 3 red ones. I could care less what color CCC paints the XT tractors. I'll never own one. Not to keep anyway. :biggrin2:

Yeah I understand you are a traditionalist. I thought the cyclops extended into the 90’s, but I could be wrong about that. You pretty much only want the IH version of stuff.

I think they changed to all yellow so the novices could just say “I want yellow, not green”. But to me the color scheme is not as interesting as before with the beige hoods.

I would like Cub Cadet to make an XT5 and XT6 series that extended into the super garden tractor and subcompact range. And make them tough as IH and early CC days.

But I do have a GTX2100 (pretty much same as XT3). And it is a great tractor for what I use it for.

I'm pretty easy going as long as they're not painted green. We had a member with a super that was painted yellow and black like the new one's and i thought it looked cool, I've also seen a cyclops painted all red like a 782 and thought it looked nice as well.

Give them time some over paid marketing guru will come up with a revolutionary idea that they do a retro colour scheme , senior management will bill and coo then think what a wonderful new idea and how lucky they are to have this marketing guru and it will end up looking rubbish

I would bet that it is more of a bean counter move vs a marketing move.

More plastic parts molded in only two colors, less metal parts in only two colors or raw.

They contacted me about the paint scheme I developed for my 1861,,,

I gave them written permission to use it,,,

Probably the one color is less expensive...it is MTD/Cub Cadet after all.
