1872 w/ 54” power angle plow lift rod
Hoping someone can help out. I’ve searched but come up empty. I have a 1872 with a 54” power angle snow plow. All hooked up and working except.... missing the lift rod. Can someone send some good photos of the rod connection at the tractor and how it connects to the plow and maybe some dimensions. I’m going to try and make one myself or if anyone knows where to get one i’ll check that out too. Thanks a lot

Thanks yea I've seen that method and spent some time looking at my set up there is no way though that the lift rod is straight like that the front axel on the 1872 is in the way.

Who says the Lift Rod has to be straight....???
:bigthink: |
The 1872 doesn't have a rockshaft on the outside to hook the plow to like the one from that link. I believe the rod has to hook to the rockshaft under the tractor but I'm not sure how.

I will try to help but what I have shouldn't be the last word on this because my plow mount is not factory. As for hook up locations it is very close to factory but you will notice my angle cylinder is not located as yours/factory.
My lift link is 28" center to center of 1/2" hole on plow end and midpoint of a 1/2 x 1.125 slotted hole in the tractor end. My link is made from 1" OD steel tube flattened on the ends for mounting holes. Where it hooks to the tractor is shown in the picture as the lift pin directly below the cam and knob. Yes the tube is straight. |
What if the OP has an IH 54" power angle blade..... he never said it was a Haban blade.

The pictures of the sub frame are Haban blade. Never saw a Haban blade with round skid shoes though......

I do not have a picture of my lift rod when I mounted my Haban 401, but I circled the rock shaft on my early 2182 where it went.
