Under deck paint

I sand blasted the deck last year. I used the TSC ?alkyd? primer and paint. The top/outside I'm happy with the under side not so much. What can I use under there that holds up? Not a super huge fan of Rustoleum. Its ok but there has to be better...

Well some fellows have tried EZ slide, it is a graphite paint and it is suppose to keep the grass from sticking.:bigthink:
Now if it is a trailer Queen not many people are laying on the ground to inspect the bottom of a deck, so most anything mopped on it would be just fine.
I used a couple of gallons on a Gravity wagon so high moisture corn would slide easier, and was pleased with the results.:beerchug:

I like to use SlipPlate. Did the bottom of this 48 GT deck with it.

I'd love to be able to make this a trailer queen of sorts. But, that life isn't for me,lol. It's my work horse. My buddy that farmed in to his 20's would chuckle and correct me when I called it a tractor. He of course called it a lawnmower. He changed his thoughts after he's been through a couple of Craftsmen and Huskee. I'm still running it after all those years. And lets resume our paint conversation!

Thanks for above info.
Sorry, I should have explained myself. But, thats not what I'm after.
I'm not worried about "slickness". In the HIGH flow areas the paint is basically gone. There's some chips taken out else where. I'm interested in a little bit more durability.

The main thing that causes the blades to "wear" is the sand/grit that is sucked up by the mower, and propelled out of the discharge,,

So, in effect, each time you mow, you are sand blasting the underside of the deck

So, to answer your original question, I gotta ask,,,
"When you sand blast, what type of paint remains behind? :bigthink:"

THAT would be the paint to use!!

:biggrin2:

Expecting paint to last under a deck, is like expecting a moldboard plow to keep paint on the shares, shins & moldboard.
It ain't gonna happen.:beerchug:
