Is it ok to use my 147 on hills?

I have heard that it is not good to use the old Cub Cadets on hills. Is this true? My neighbor's driveway is pretty steep, and when it snows I usually plow it for him, but I do not want to damage my tractor doing it. Will it hurt anything on my 147, and if so what?

It will be fine. The kt17 series1 had an issue with hills but it's not an issue with the engine in your tractor.

Ok, thanks. That must be what I heard.

This is what Cub Cadet and Kohler recommends as a maximum slope.....

Seriously? There was an official slope guide? As long as you aren't in danger of tipping it over, it'll work great.

I've lived on a hill and used my Cub Cadets to cut grass for years. Actually, the same 108 for like 35 years. About a 5/12 pitch hill. Steep. Used chains on the tires year round. Never a problem.
