Thought I would post my winter progress.
Shoe-horned rebuilt K341 into a CC73. Well a worn out CC70...got a CC73 Grill for it ..I like them. A lot of fabrication with some welding on other parts. 42" deck - a LOT of welding, rebuilt all spindles etc. Used bedliner Black/Tan after stripping to bare metal. I hope not to have to address rust for some time. This is intended as a WORK tractor as I know NOT to call it a restoration :biggrin2: Lot of trial and error in this project and i absolutely am hooked! |
That sure is different.

Well, it's black and white.
Personally, I don't understand why someone would go to that much trouble and work not to fix it up back to original. I'm all for custom.... but I like it to look as though it was factory built. Someone walk up and say, "I didn't know that was an option!?" Type of stuff. I think you will find the bedliner will cause green grass to excessively build up. Likely won't rust.... but it's so rough it will cause discharge issues. Grass needs to slide down the "channel" and out the discharge. |
Looks like quality work Mr. Scott. Even if some don’t agree with the color scheme its quite a bit a work and we can appreciate that. How did you accomplish the 341 install? Assuming you had to cut the frame? I for one would like some more close ups.

In my opinion, custom colors are for cars, not tractors. Quote:

Only thing you need are some tasteful decals!

Looks pretty cool. I'm more of an IH color guy myself, but I respect the "your tractor/your choice" option. I'm interested in how well the bedliner coating will work on the deck. That seems to be a very durable coating if things work out. You did a nice job and it shows.

Looks really nice! Needs some custom decals now!:biggrin2:

That's a sweet looking machine! Might I suggest adding a hydro lift? Great work!
