Remove section
 

Delete the General Talk section. The O stands for "Only".

Do that and a good amount of the members here will go elsewhere, myself included. Forum's with no general talk section get old fast, I'm a member of a couple forum's that don't have a gen talk section and I have no need to visit them unless I have an issue, some sites I haven't been on in years. The general talk section is what keeps members here in between projects and problems and gives the forum a community atmosphere. What is it exactly that you see as an issue with the general talk section?

More of a reaction to that "other thread", but... I see fewer people coming here for help with their tractors and more unrelated threads about random stuff that seams better suited to Face Book.

I have two sites that I visit everyday. I trust and enjoy most opinions of other members. To me general talk means just that general talk. Sometimes we need a answer or opinion on some none Cub item. I'm free to skip over things that I have no interest in. On the Jmech post, I'll read and keep my opinion to myself. Again my choice.

Agreed on both accounts. Keep the general section, and no comment on the J-Mech thing. All that has done is cause a rift among the members either for or against. Let's move on.

I like the general talk section. As far as the J-Mech thing no reason anyone should get upset. If you like Jon OK if not OK, personally I like Jon.:beerchug:

I like the general talk section for seeing what other guys have with other brands of GTs and the similarities/differences they share with the cadets. Not to mention things like when there’s holiday wishes, birthdays, celebrities passing.

It’s also where I get my news because I don’t watch the news!:biggrin2:
