48" rototiller
I found a 48" tiller, but the tines have had it. Is there any place you can still get tines this tiller? They are no longer available though Cub Cadet. Any info would be helpful.

Is this an international #2 tiller?
I got my tines from here: This was in May of this year P&P Small engines 2175 E University Des Moines, IA 50317 515-265-8889 $23/set of 2 (1rt & 1lt) plus S&H |
There are several places you can get tines. They sell them by size, so you will need to remove one and get the measurements you need to buy them. As of yet, I have not found an exact match to the tines IH used, but I never tried that hard either. When I saw the price, I decided I didn't need to replace them just yet. Like in the above post, about $23/per set of L/R tines, and there are like 10 sets (I don't remember) but it is going to be around $300 for you to put new tines on. You can find another tiller for that kind of money. At least around here.

Yes, and quite a few of the used ones, I have noticed, have really nice tines on them as well.
The ones got for my #2 were a perfect match but the mat's used is a bit thinner is all, as in not quite as heavy. What with the extensive rebuild I did on this unit last spring, I'm sure it will still be around hanging on the back of a Cub somewhere long after I am gone. |
The walk behind IH tillers use the same tines. may be you can find a few of those.

With the exception of cost, my post is still applicable then. I just assumed you put the wrong size in your first post.

I have a model 48 cat 0 tiller also that needs tines also. I've done some research and found Deere had a tiller that shared the same tines and Deere still sells them. The part number I post I think is the old part number I have a buddy in local Deere parts and was able to find the new number but I don't have at the moment. They are rather pricey from dealer believe they are cheaper somewhere online. M83772 and M83773 are the part numbers for the Deere tines one is left side tine and one is right side tine. Let me know if you find an alternative.

Here you go.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...highlight=r50c Read my #4 post. The web site is not coming up but maybe you can call them. Post back here what you find out please. Did a little Googling.:biggrin2: If these are correct, that is only $8.63 each. https://www.gaequipment.com/1_SET_OF...-m83773-x1.htm |
If you want to buy John Deere tines, the part numbers are,
M150519 is the RH tine. $13.32 (m83772 is the old number for this tine) M150520 is the LH tine. $13.32 (m83773 is the old number for this tine) Those prices are correct. I just checked a few minutes ago. |
