Hello from NW PA

Hi all,
I like working on these old garden tractors. My previous restoration was on a 1978 John Deere 316 (the one with the Kohler engine). I recently purchased what I believe to be a 1974 Cub 149 that I will be working on over the winter. I picked it up for $150, nonrunning. Brought her home, cleaned the points, replaced the battery, and she fired up! Anyway, as I have much to learn about these machines I decided to create an account and stop by to say hello. I notice that there are several other members from my neck of the woods, so that is exciting. I have always wanted an early cub as my favorite truck is a 1975 International. Here are some pics. |
Welcome to OCC. Congrats on the 149.:beerchug:

Nice score on the 149! We restored one for my dad about 4 years ago and he loves it. It is a solid, functional machine that was built in the middle of the “Cubmania” of the 60’s and 70’s. My dad owned a 1966 Scout for about 20 years—I loved that little truck. We all wish that he never would have sold it. I like your full size a lot. Maybe someday I can add one of those to my stable...:bigthink:

:Welcome2: YOU'LL find a wealth of knowledge here, and a bunch of folks from your neck of the woods.:beerchug:

Maybe close to you? That Cub has potential. Good luck.
