70's Cadet 55
 

Hey Guys,
New here. Wasn't sure where else to turn to get more info on this mower i picked up recently. Its a Cadet 55, which from my research tells me was sold from 72 to 78. The tractor is in good shape. The fiberglass body is not damaged at all, but could use paint due to staining. The front solid tires have flat spots in them, rear tires dry but hold air. Engine runs perfect now that i put the points delete coil on it, new air filter and plug, cleaned the carb, and new oil. Deck is silent and cuts very well. I just installed a new drive belt after the original disassembled itself.

I have it up for sale right now but i am not sure of its value. A friend said that its fairly rare to see one in this good of shape.

Can anyone verify its year from the vin tag? 0340006U017797*

I see those type of tractor for sale around here frequently and they're usually listed for $200 or less.
