Future Cub Hauler

I am hoping in the not so distant future to have one of these painted Cub Cadet colors. 1973 Chevy Cheyenne Super 30....no camper
Or one of these....Kaiser era Jeep Gladiator |
I vote for the Chev simply because it will be much easier to do a two tone yellow/white paint scheme on it then on the Gladiator. The Chev is a two tone from the factory. Much more parts available cheaper too. Please keep us posted on the hauler build. I had a 74 GMC 3500 with a 454. No wheelies, but boy would it smoke the tires on a burnout!

Nothing against the Jeep, but I too would lean towards the Chevy C-30.
|
I like the Chevy as well. My first truck was a 1977 Silverado, 4x4. These trucks were bad about rusting so it my be difficult to find one.

I am leaning toward the Chevy as well. I really like the design and styling of those square bodies. The Jeep has a utilitarian "coolness" about it but parts are harder to obtain.
|
Gonna go against the grain. Go with the jeep. Much better looking than a square body Chevy. Easy enough to two tone.

I vote for the Chevy too. They look good with the Cubs. Here's my '73 K10 Custom with '69 125.

Do the Chevy. My dad had a new 73 small block. The exhaust manifolds cracked. I'll bet that super 30 has a big block. I'd like one of those for a tow vehicle. Mike:biggrin2:
