Voltage regulator for 127 question
 

Hello- I just bought a new voltage regulator online here-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-VOLTAGE-.../371203626416?
The new one only has two coils while the old one has three. Anyone maybe have an idea on how to hook it up? So far I put bat wire to bat, and F to F and when I attempt to put the armature wire on the third lug it turns the engine over without turning the key. Any ideas? Photo next. Thanks. Scott

Following the Wiring Diagram:

GRY Wire to BAT Terminal
BLU Wire to GEN Terminal
YEL Wire to F Terminal

AND...the V/R "HAS TO BE" grounded.

Third wire goes to the GEN terminal which is most likely located on the back of your new V/R.

Yes, the third connection was on the back of the new VR. Different than the old, but now working and cutting grass. Thanks for the help.
