Push blade lift rod
 

I started looking at using my push blade from my 122 on my 123. The lift arm that goes from strong arm bracket to blade is missing. I'd like to just order one from extremem motorworks, but I do not know which length to get and whether or not to get fixed or adjustable length? Any suggestions?

(the 122 does not run yet, I have a carb kit on order, need to clean the gas tank, and replace all the horrible rusted parts for the clutch and the front tires. Was obviously someones not loved snow plow for many years...)

The standard length is 32" for narrow frames.

I just checked the lift rod I have on my 100 with the push blade is 32", so you should be good with that, if you can find or make one. There are a couple of places that have the adjustable rods, including Jeff in PA and Xtreme. I have one from Xtreme, but have not used it yet. You can also just use a length of chain if you are not going to need any down pressure. With the rod, there isn't much down pressure anyway as the rod tends to flex.

Thanks Stephen, that's exactly what I needed to know. The blade has been used to push a lot of snow. I will be using it to push gravel in my driveway. The homemade one for the front of my John Deere isn't as wide as the front tires and so does not work well for scraping the side of a large pile of gravel.... the Jon Deere has hydraulics though... I also need to get my rear extreme motor works pull blade painted and put on the cub! I have jeffs extended sleeve hitch to fit around my tiller box. The 123 has rear lift and helper spring the 122 has neither and will probably get the 48 inch mowing deck, once I get it back from welder. He's fixing the hole where the spindle fell through the deck...
