PTO switch bypass??
Ok guys I've been wrestling with this 1650 again. I was wondering if anyone has a diagram to wire around the pto switch? I don't have a pto on this one as its strictly my plow ans work tractor. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Yeah..... run a wire from the key switch through the brake switch and to the starter solenoid.

I use Roland quiet line electrical wiring diagram and add a PTO switch by-pass wire (Purple) from the safety switch to the "S" terminal of the ignition switch.
That's what you need to do. |
I failed to mention this tractor has no brake switch at all.
|
So, you are saying this tractor has no safety devices....???
 |
That is correct.
|
Sorry Earl.... we can't help you bypass safety switches. If you have no PTO on the tractor and want to remove the switch that's one thing.... helping you wire it up without safety switches.... that's a no-no.

I've ordered an new pto. I guess I'll go trial and error until I sort it out..

the orange wires in the diagram a few posts back are the safety switch wires use a 12v test light to track your problem . a new pto clutch has nothing to do with cranking the engine!!!! the safety switches are there for your safety as well as others they should be there !!! bypassing them [temporarily] to trouble shoot a problem is one thing eliminating them a different story
