Steering question

Now that I've got my 125 up and running, I've noticed it will make a much sharper turn going left than going right. Is this normal, or is my steering off?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if that is normal or not but my 1200 does the same thing.:bigthink:

You might want to disconnect the steering link from the steering gear, and center the gear to see if you need to readjust the steering link ends.. Count your turns lock to lock, then place the steering wheel half of the number of turns you counted away from the maximum position one way. SO if I counted five turns from all the way left to all the way right, I would turn it back 2.5 turns left from all the way right. Then see if with the wheels pointed straight ahead, the rod will connect to the steering box. If not, you will need to adjust the position of the tie rod ends on each end of it until it will. This way you should have equal turn amount full left and full right. When you are done you may need to pull the wheel and recenter it so when you are pointed straight ahead so is the wheel. If you haven't pulled a Cub steering wheel do a quick search for how to do it without damaging stuff..

I hope that made sense, it came out clear as mud...

My 1450 has the same problem. All the steering components were fine. The problem is that the front axle was actually turning inside the frame. Make sure the C-channel isn't bent. Just a suggestion.........
