Timken bearing ?

Some times I just have to wonder about a streak of bad luck. Rebuilt my 125 k301 and first had problems with the China carbs. First carb hardly ran and replacement had issues too, but after a couple hours running seems to be better. I had completely redone the pto cluch also. I first started mowing and it seemed fine for a bit, but then it seemed as if a belt was slipping, or I thought maybe the new engine has that much more power. Ran it for about an hour and parked it, Got on next time and mower would bearly run . I could see now the clutch was slipping. Well what did I screw up now? Tore the cluch apart to find it covered in blue grease. The grease I use is not blue so what the heck. Took off the new Timken bearing to find blue grease leaking around the seal. Bearing and seal both look perfect, but grease is coming out around outer edge. Especially bought the timken so it would last, but I guess not. What the heck . I going to get another bearing and maybe even another China carb and see if I CAN FINALLY HAVE THE GOOD LUCK WITH THEM EVERYONE ELSE HAS.

Your clutch is slipping, heating up the bearing and making the grease ooze out. That or you damaged the seal on the bearing installing it. It's not Timken's fault. Timken brand is one of the better bearings.

Betting the carb issue isn't the carb either.....
