Replacement cylinder for narrow frame aux
I just bought a 106 with the hydraulic add on and the hydraulic cylinder seems to be a little rough. Is there a standard replacement/rebuild that is readily available? I have a mig welder and can modify any mounting brackets, but if possible, I would like to keep everything "close" to stock.

First, welcome to OCC..... :Welcome2:
IIRC, the original cylinder is NLA from Cub Cadet. (A) In the interest of staying close to stock as possible, I would suggest you take the cylinder to a Hydraulic Repair Shop for the needed repairs. or (B) Be patient, and search the Internet for a good used one. |
Welcome Jeremy. What's exactly wrong with it? If the cylinder ram itself is rusty with surface rust and minimal pitting, you can take some Emory cloth and polish it before it's actuated and it may end being ok. If not and there's other issues Roland's advice is the next step.
