Hi All! My brother has a CCC Cub Cadet 1872. Having issues with the idler pulley with the spring going up and rubbing front of mule drive. Has the threaded adjustment taken up to the end of threads and still pulley is rubbing. Installed a new Cub Cadet replacementioned belt # 954-3023, 93 inches long. He says pulley is in the proper adjustment till he starts the motor then it goes up against the mule drive. He lives three hours from me so I can only go by what he describes to me. I have 2 982's and never had this issue. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Bill Peden.

It has the 60 inch Haban Deck.
