New to Me 2185
 

I came across a 2185 a month ago for 400.00. I did not have time to go look at it and then last week I looked again and he had dropped the price. I wound up getting it for 200.00. It runs great. I found the original invoice in the manual and he paid 3500.00 for it new. It will eventually give its engine to a 1864 project tractor. Here are some pictures.

Looks nice for a $200 machine. I'd be tempted to run it and keep searching for an engine for your other machine. Just thinking about the price, is there something wrong with it? I mean a fairly new machine around here generally goes for more than $400, regardless of the brand.:bigthink:

It was new in 1996. I cannot find anything wrong with it. The man was just trying to sell it and was not having any luck. He thought there was something wrong with the carburetor but I do not see anything wrong. It runs just as good as my other 2 mowers with the same engine. I will probably use it some cause it will be a while before I do the swap

nice,what size mower deck is it?

It is the 48" deck.
