Another 1650
3 Attachment(s)
Recently, I attended an estate sale and purchased another 1650. This tractor has set for over ten years. I took a chance and bought it. The other day I had some time and dragged it into the Cub House. I removed the carb and fuel tank to clean and inspect. Rebuilt carb, checked oil levels, cleaned battery posts and added some fuel and a fresh battery. I turned the key and to my surprise it cranked and fired immediately! I couldn't believe it. I cycled the hydraulic lift and the hydro transmission...it all worked very well with no smoke or odd noises. The engine was stuffed with varmint debris and blowing out all kinds of crap. So, I decided to pull the engine, remove the tins and removed fender deck to give it a bath. Here it is....
It needs new engine mounts, various driveline stuff, axle seals and new axle tube bearings. |
Nice. I don't have one of those in my QL collection yet.

Congrats on the new to you 1650.. looks like a pretty original well kept tractor!:beerchug: I have a soft spot for the quietlines.. I spent many hours on a 1450 as a kid! We still have it... It still provides weekly mowing duty for mom!:beerchug:

Congratulations on your new 1650. Given your beautiful collection of Quietlines, that little Cub is lucky to have you as the new owner. A nice tractor as it sets, I'm sure you will make it perfect. :beerchug:
