Would there be a PTO rpm vs. engine rpm for an 1872?
I've been considering some PTO driven equipment, like a pump, maybe a tiller but I don't have a clue how fast (rpm) the rear pto turns at say 3/4 throttle (~2600 engine rpm). Is this information available for the 1872/2072 Super Cub Cadets? TIA, Steve

The rear PTO on a SGT is rated at 2000 RPM at 3600 engine RPM.

Very easy math to figure out, the rear pto will spin at the same ratio to engine speed at all rpms. At 3600 engine rpm the rear pto spins at 2000 rpm. So for your 2600 engine rpm example solve for X:
2000/3600 = X/2600 My question is how will you know your engine speed? Bill X = 1444 rpm |
Thanks for the replies guys.
I will use a hand held digital tack initially but maybe one of these will be helpful longer term. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tach-Digital...3D251544621807 |
