128 Update
Hey Guys, remember the 128 that i got the other day? I bought it to be a backup mower and to do some pulling. I was just going to fix the PTO and put it to work, but it needs more. On start up and throttling up there was alittle black smoke. The air filter was clogged big time. I don't see how it was running. Put a new filter and changed oil.
When i took off in third it took alittle time to take off. So I took the clutch assembly out and it needs some work. The disc is real thin and the plates were cupped away from the fiber disc. The clutch hanger holes were egg shaped and they will be welded up and redrilled with a bent rod so it will not spin. I put the plates in the lathe to true them up. They are as flat as i can get them. Here's some pics to show where im at with it. Thanks Todd http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...t/IMG_0256.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...t/IMG_0252.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...t/IMG_0253.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...t/IMG_0255.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...t/IMG_0254.jpg |
128 Update
It sounds like you and I have the same luck genie. I brought home a 129 that only needed a battery and a coil wire before it was ready to work. That was in January. Maybe it'll be ready to cut grass in the next four weeks. That is some beautiful machining you did. I would say you were lucky to have the equipment, but I know luck has nothing to do with it.:beerchug:

Nice job !! My Craftsman 109 lathe is out of commission for a simple tapered bushing . Can't get parts. If I had another lathe I could turn one. One question. Why do all of our garages look the same ?:biggrin2.gif:
