Any thoughts?
Any thoughts on installing a pillow block bearing on a 123 driveshaft assembly? Numerous couplings were wallowed out the hydro fan pretty much destroyed. Has anyone tried this? I've read some discussions about universal joints but that seems like unnecessary overkill. Thanks!

The couplings get wallowed out because everything isn't perfectly aligned, and the frame flexes and twists under load. The pullers use those on gear drives, but to keep the clutch from destroying the bearings on the trans input shaft. On a hydro, there's no need for this. Parts are still eventually going to wear out, so I wouldn't bother.

Matt, Thanks for the explanation, makes sense.
