Deck issue with 1864 & GT46 deck
5 Attachment(s)
Put my gt46 deck on the newer 1864 today. Have not ever had this deck on this tractor before. Last year i put a cat 0 3pt on it.
My problem is that the deck lifts way too high actually pushing up on the power steering lines. This was never a problem on my other 1864. I ended up removing the pin attaching the cat 0 lift bar to the cylinder rockshaft, which allowed the mower deck rockshaft to move forward far enough to make the whole thing work right. Ended up farmerizing it so I could get to mowing. Any ideas? |
So now that my thread has been edited, thanx btw... Do these pictures help or do i need to take different 1s?

I think you may have the wrong lift links on it. They look short to me.
This pic is for the GT48 deck but the lift link part numbers are the same. #2 is and offset link. |

I would just take off the other links on the other 1864 and put them on the other 1864.
If not I may have a set. |
Thanks guys. Makes total sense to me!!
I forgot to mention that the other hanger is a fixed slotted one that came with the deck and sub frame. To match it I had to run the one pictured in quite a ways. Im thinking this deck might have came from an 1811, wheather that makes a difference or not, either way thank you so much for your help. Lou, im going to see if i have an extra adjustable set lying around, if not Ill pm you. Thanks!! |
