482
Picked up a 482 Cub Cadet .What was the original motor size? It has a 16hp Briggs twin in it now not sure if it was changed or wrong decals should be a 582 Special. Need to get the serial # off it when it stops raining.

The 482 rolled out of the Factory with a 11HP B&S engine.

It should be a 582 Special.

Serial has 482 in it some one changed the motor.Thinking about putting a KT17 in it with a hydro rear end make it a 782.

Same engine design only upgraded in multiple ways, it was the last and best of the flathead opposed twin series. |

Better measure it first, cub is 1-1/8" seems like Deere is 1" but I forget somethings. |
Some of the clutches you can take the bushing out and make them fit that is least of my problems.
