QA42 snow thrower

Is there some trick to getting everything lined up when trying to bolt on the QA blower to my 127? It seems to me there is some trick I'm missing. It took me at least half an hour and one blood blister later I finally got both sides in place and the pins underneath all lined up at once. The darn thing is so heavy to move and wiggle into place.

Be thankful that it is not a 450, 451 or 551. those are real brutes to get lined up and in place too.

does anyone have a spare lift link for one of these QA 42's? I have one with everything "but" that. Will be going on (not sure which) my 1200 or my 129.

You should do a #2 tiller. :biggrin2:

Don't know about the 127's
but I find on dirt/uneven surfaces on the 782's, it is easier for me to mount the mule drive/gear box first,-- then slide the thrower up to it and put the lower shaft in, to marry the 2 together.
You do have to put the spline shaft into the yoke, before you slide it all the way together.
And it makes them easier to move around/store/lift as 2 units.
But it is just my way of skinning a cat.
Disclaimer:
No cats were harmed/injured in the process.:biggrin2:

Lift rod?

I make an adjustable rod 28" - 32"

I used to have a haben 42" snowblower. I ended up trading it for an old sears tractor. Not much room for fingers to help line everything up.

Putting my QA42 on my 125 I found the best "trick" ( besides having two 125s :biggrin2: ) is to put a handtruck under the center of the blower housing and to line it up that way.

I do end up using the "universal adjective" quite a bit if I have to install it myself. An extra set of hands is a big help
