Original Deck Spindles
While installing new deck spindle bearings I noticed that the bearing housings are offset. From the looks of the parts manual looks like thin part of offset goes to the front of the deck. Any info would be great. FYI Deck was torn down, blasted, painted and all new bearing installed. Doing reassembly now.

Monza:
I assume, you are talking about the 38" 2 Spindle Deck, with the Timed Cog Belt...??? |
MonzaMan: Yep. The purpose of the off-set is to allow the rotation of the hub(s) to increase tension on the cogged pulley belt if needed.

LMiller: Which belt?? There are three belts involved with the Original Square Timed deck. V Drive belt from engine pulley, V clutch belt and the cogged timing belt...
