Winch on a wide-frame???

I was thinking of mounting a winch on my 149 and was wondering if there were any treads on this or anyone out there who has done this.

Guys have done it, mostly on the back as a quick and dirty lift solution.

If you were to do it, dont just bolt it to the front web because a heavy pull will distort your frame. Instead, make bracket that nearly or fully encapsulates the shoulder bolts for the quick tach. Then just use the quick tach catch for keeping the winch and everything in place.

This puts mose of the stress on bigger bolts, not to mention there is more frame structure because of the front axle bracket. Do not rely on that wimpy 3/8 rod and catch to hold the stress... or youll be sorry!!! :beerchug:
