Looks to me like it was involved in one of those I'm stuck moments where all the rocking back and forth was doing good while the tire was spinning until it caught on something buried in the ground and then snap.

Been around 2 that did that. One didn't hurt the rear, the other bent axle/rim/housing--we swaped out the entire rear end for the guy. Guess it all depends on how they "land".

Maybe it was because the trunnion was in need of repair.
A little herky jerky I bet.

That is has been fixed.

Switched the ported part from the 149 to a good non ported 129 one with a nice trunnion.

Good grief LP you got that one further down to the nub than uncle A does with the 169 right now. Seeing that you do, can you take a width measurement of the open area of that trunion. Mine is roached and before I weld it I was curious as to how wide it's "supposed" to be. Nice work and super clean that one is. I just switched over my hydro lift on the one 169 to the better one. Ported pumps are where it's at.
