Decided to adopt another Original Today.
 

I went to buy an old farm truck and came home with a truck and a Cub Original. I went to pick up some pallets and look at a v10 Dodge 3/4ton farm truck a few weeks ago and he just so happened to have a 4 digit (9226) Original sitting in his shed. The guys was selling stuff off after his dad passed and he told me he did not even know this thing existed til recently. He didnt know its history, but it is complete, and has a deck. No other options. Not sure what I am going to do with it, but for the price I "Had" to buy it.

I like it, looks like it was kept dry, did he repaint it red?

Yeah there is some paint chipping and there is yellow underneath. I don't think any originals were red from the factory.

Yeah least it's not rusted all to heck! Doesn't look bad at all!

That's pretty darn good luck!! Did you know it was a 4 digit before you bought it?:bigthink::bigthink:

Wonderful tractor to come across!! Very nice looking too! Well, I know exactly just what I'd do with it if it were mine,.... return to yellow and white!!!

I didn't know it was a 4 digit, It was in a dark shed and for the price i didn't care if it was. But it sure was a nice surprise.

I may restore it, but I kind of want to use a few of the parts off this one to make my optioned 4 digit nicer, and then modify this one. The engine spins over freely and it doesn't look like it has too hard of a life, so it wouldn't be a very hard restore. Decisions Decisions

What a find!! If I read the chart correctly your find was made in June of 61. I have seen people born then not look as good. Looks like a good restore project to me.

I agree with everyone else, GREAT find. I know what I would do, restore?:beerchug:
