2182 getting some TLC

Fought some fuel issues with my 2182 last summer dealing with crud in the bottom of the tank so I gave it the Sam Mac treatment over the past month with flushing the fuel tank, new lines and grommets. While it was in the shop I added two more hydraulic valves with two sets to the front and one of those is T'd to a set of outlets on the back. I also added a pair of small led lights under each foot rest so I can see the sides of the deck when mowing at night and I replaced the halogen headlight bulbs with some 35 watt hid bulbs I had laying around. Finally I installed a new seat and a pair of Tru Powers with 5 gallons of rime guard in each side.

For the triple hydraulics I bought two more valves and line sets for the factory deck lift, one of the stock hoses is long enough to reach the left front corner of the tractor so I ran them there with a T behind the coupler where new hoses go to the rear of the tractor. The short hose from each set runs behind the engine where they connect to 18" long hoses that go to the front factory auxiliary coupler location. I used 3/8" hose but 1/4" would have been easier to work with. The 1/4" couplers are a little loose in a 7/8" hole so I put a hardened washer on the front side and since I couldn't the the snap rungs to fit on the back side I got some 7/8" ID collars with set screws from McMaster and slid them on the back of the couplers.

Lights look like airplane landing lights. :beerchug:

Keep an eye on the HID lights. I had them on my 1541. I had to remover them because they ran too hot and started melting the clear plastic lens. They were bright SOB's. I think my neighbors are happy to see them gone.

I like it, the triple hydraulic setup is something I want to do to one of my Supers. You are putting together one fine rig.
The 2182 is my choice as the best Cub ever produced.

Cool hydraulic work. :beerchug: Would love to do that with mine too.

Triple hydraulic is also something I would like....a lot more versatility
