Owners Manual Question

I have seen a few of these on eBay before and I'm curious about them. They include the 86 (wide frame) with the rest of the narrow frame line of tractors. Why would they be grouped together in the same manual as they are different series of tractors? Did the 86 replace the 73 before IH quit making the rest of the narrow frame tractors? This listing actually has a picture of the "Note to the owner", which is the first time I've seen that portion before. Thoughts?

Something fishy there.

Looked at Binder Books and they have nothing like that. With that note maybe it was a change over manual.

Lets say it is the first printing of the manual for wide frames.
And the printer failed to correct ALL of the model numbers on the cover.
A few hundred were printed before anyone noticed.
So instead of trashing them, they added the note.

But I would think the note would have been on IH letter head paper.

Edit:
The misprint operators manual appears to be legit.

Hmm. Well, it looks like these might be kind of rare then. Having not seen inside one, I assume all the pictures and text correspond with the rest of the 8/9 series then? The part number on the back is the same as the correct printing of the manual.
