New acquisition: 782D! Need radiator
 

Hey guys, picked up a 782D the other night. I'm SO excited about it! Needs some TLC but mechanically it's been pretty well taken care of. However, the cooling fan came loose and chewed up the radiator, so that's job# 1. Anyone know of a good used radiator or a source for a reasonably priced new one? Thanks!

There has been some places mentioned here (that I can't remember any of) as a source for a new radiator. It wasn't OEM if I remember correctly, but a good fit. The thing is, what do you consider "reasonable"? Because that is a relative term..... A new one from CCC is what, $700? So, is $350 reasonable?? Just asking....

FWIW, I have a radiator out of a Jacobson mower that had a D600 Kubota in it (same as the 782) and it appears to be close enough to work. No idea what model, I didn't take it out, just bought the motor.

Congrats on the 782D. I have one that is currently under going restoration, but waiting on warm weather to do paint work. If you have questions, give us a shout, there are several of us here with smokers like yours.

After a tip from a member on here to check them out for a D650 head I needed, I use them a lot. Got a rad from them on another kubota project I recently finished for $200. Really great customer service and quality products. Congrats on the 782D

Congratulations on the new addition. I'm sure you will be happy with it. I had my 782D for close to 20 years until I had to thin out the herd a bit to make room for others. (The wife doesn't know that part of it yet!) On the radiator. I have one that is leaking and am in the process of finding a place to re-core it. I'll let you know how it comes out. Maybe you can re-core yours?

Just out of curiosity are you related to the guy who sold it? I had it bought for $250. I told him I would send him a check to hold it and he said not to worry he would mark it sold. The next day he called me and said a family member wanted it and he couldn't sell it.
