New from middle TN with a 982
I have a mid to late 80s (yellow and white) Super Cub 982 with an Onan 19.9 performer and a 60in Haban deck. Bolts that hold the transaxle to the frame are either loose or stripped, reared shifts position slightly when going from forward to reverse. Tractor is showing a little under 800 hrs. Hasn't been started in about 3 years, but ran very smooth with no smoke when last ran. Has been stored under carport since. Front tires are pretty well shot, backs appear usable. I do have the engine side shields and tunnel cover as well as the mule drive and deck sub-frame. So what's it worth? I need to sell and am open to offers. For some reason I can't at this time upload any pictures.

I sent you a PM with my email for some pics and I will post them up here for you. I'm also interested in it.

Here are the pics. Owner says it doesn't have the rear lift or rear pto. I think he is going to get better pics too. It is in Lebanon, Tn

I was there Saturday. It almost was on my trailer, I told him about this site. We had a good visit, wish I could have hung around longer.

The Haban also has the deflector.

I'm thinking that having to repair/replace the rear and get it running it is probably worth about $500. That machine in good running condition is probably worth $1000 to $1300. It probably also had the rear lift and pto removed but the model number on the tag will tell that. If the tag reads 14x-986-100 that confirms it and the x would be the year it was built in the early 80's. They were built from 1982 to 1984. The engine is also a replacement because the correct engine is a B48G and not the P220.
I'm thinking that if someone took the time and repaired that one it would be a nice machine. |
You need to go pick that one up Todd!:beerchug:
