Cub Cadet 73

So I know the 73's are decently rare, but I'm looking to buy one from a gentleman that has it listed at 150, but it has a 10 horse engine, square fenders, but has deck. It looks decent if you take the square fenders off, but I was wondering if this is like o's where a 10 horse is a major problem. What is it honestly worth? Will try to upload pics soon

UPDATE: square fenders and seat have been taken off

Are you sure that it is a 73? I probably would not go much over $125 for it in that condition. Itsa plane jane model and to put it back would mean looking for the correct engine, not too hard to find but that will cost a few more bananas......If the engine runs and you want it as a worker, then $150 with deck would be alright.

I was wondering the same thing, if you look close, it looks like there is a good bit of gap between the fenders and the tunnel indicating a short tunnel.

I gotta agree that putting it back to being a 73 will get into your pocket. Buy it for $125.00 and use it like it is, wait patiently for the right engine to come along then nickel and dime it back to what it should be.

Better yet, see if the owner still has the right engine for it and get him to throw it in on the deal.

Good Luck
