147 trunnion

I was tearing down my 147 this evening, planning on cleaning it up and working on getting it running. When I took off the fenders I came across the trunion and had my self a little chuckle. I have to add in when it was running it worked really well.

I think we should start a PO trunion repair hall of fame! Sad part is that as goofy as some of them look, they were working pretty good. Here is how the one on my 982 looked.

That's a good idea, could just make it any crazy PO mod.
Sometimes the amount of work that goes into their incorrect repair could have
fixed the problem the right way.

I suggested this a while back. We've all seen some interesting ones. Favorites of mine were a horseshoe welded to the frame of my 73 for some reason, homemade O fenders that weighed at least 200 pounds made of thick steel, and a 128 that had a forklift LP tank on the back and homemade LP conversion.

We could have a whole thread dedicated to questionable PO mods. :bash:
