1450 with tripple bagger
4 Attachment(s)
Hey all, figured I would post some pictures of my 1450 dual stick with its newly attached GT 46 deck and triple bagger. I attempted this 15 years ago and could not get it to work but seem to have conquered it for now. Wasnt as easy as one would think! Keith did a lot of work repairing the engine putting all new seals, carb kit, and even repainted it for me.
I had a hydraulic leak from when I put power steering on this tractor about two years ago that we were able to pinpoint using dry nitrogen at 400psig. Two loose nuts... can you believe it? It's very fun to operate and since the Leaf season is upon us it will get used quite a bit. |
Looks great. You guys do good work. Did you rig up a fan assist or does it just use the deck?
I like the nitrogen method. I used it on my truck because i was tired of chasing ac leaks. Hooked it up on the high side and found the leaks fast. |

Im an hvac dude, thats why it was nitrogen lol |
So, what kind of "difficulties" did you run into? I too would have thought it wouldn't be that hard. Things not line up? Belt alignment, or deck hanger issues??? Inquiring minds want to know! I personally HATE baggers, (as I've told you, lol) but you did a great job!

Actually, the hardest part were the hangers.... the deck drive pulley would hit my pwr steering cylinder, or wouldnt pick the deck up off the ground. Sounds simple but was a royal PITA. It would have been simpler had i not put all that hydraulic shit on there, but its more fun to use :beerchug: Actually got lucky on the drive belt. Went down to the local mower shop and got deck drive belt from a 316 John Deere. It was a new belt but had been sitting around for awhile so I got a good deal on it. It is a 97 and one quarter inch belt X half inch. Had to custom build a bracket for the bagger tree to mount to the tractor. That part was done 15 years ago I know you hate baggers lol its all good |
You have an awesome leaf setup there! :beerchug:
