Hydraulic angle kit
Hi everyone, I recently picked this up off eBay. It was super cheap, being that the cylinder is crap, but it appears to be the early style. SO my million dollar question is this, the kit I can use a early style lift cylinder for? Most of these I've seen have a lot bigger bore cylinders.

I picked up a lift cylinder from a 149 today it has about a 1 1/2" shorter stroke but should work till i can get this cylinder cut open and rebuilt or find a replacement. Tomorrow i am going to head down to the local hydraulic shop and see if i can get lines and fittings.

That cylinder has been cut open before. I can tell by the weld on the cap end.
I don't know that they ever used that small rod cylinder for the angle on a blade. If so, I'd like to see documentation (parts book) or otherwise. I think that might be an adapted QL cylinder. :bigthink: If it's frozen in place, it will cost more to fix it than for someone to build a new one.... or about the same. The tube, piston and rod will have to be replaced. Don't let anyone fool you. A stainless rod will not work. It must be chrome plated. BTDT. It doesn't work. |

That works. I guess yours just looks small. I've seen both of those kits.... I thought yours looked smaller.
Still, it's been apart before. I'd be surprised if the shop even wants to take it apart to attempt a fix. The thing about using the lift cylinder is that the smaller rod is more likely to bend or break if you run into something. You'll have to be careful. |

At this point it's been pretty slow since kids went back to school to i decided to cut the cylinder open today before lunch. The Hytran did it's job the one side was full of moister soaked Hytran that dried out. The inside of the cylinder looks good and should clean up no issues. I am just having issues locating seals the shop I went was worthless.

I've gotten obsolete stuff from them, for old loaders/backhoes, plow cylinders etc. Just order by size and style. :beerchug: |
