147 Drive Shaft Pin/Hub
I've had a lot of trouble with the spiral pin between the drive shaft and motor drive hub on my cub cadet 147. Originally the pin kept falling out because of wear in the hole in the drive shaft. I have had a new shaft made up and installed about 6 months ago. Today while mowing I sheared the pin. I assume this was caused by excessive wear in the groove in the drive hub. I know the wide frames use a flex joint in place of the type of connection on my 147. My question is will a shaft assembly from a 1811 directly replace what I have? If not what modifications will i have to make? Are there any problems with this type of system I should be aware of?

Get a new part from Jeff in PA. He makes great stuff. I had a problem with a solid pin (genuine CC part) falling out and Jeff made me one with knurling in the center of the pin; it no longer falls out.
