Engine cradle modification

I plan on pulling the K321 Kohler 14hp out of my 147 in the near future to rebuild it. It has developed a rod knock. The Cub is new to me and I have no history on it. My question - could someone please explain the engine cradle modification I've heard mentioned several times as being done by others? I looked in the technical section but was unable to find anything posted. I'd like to put this back together with improvements if possible. Thanks!

I believe that Mod is for the QL model....Yours should be hard mounted to the frame....

Yes, it is a quietline only mod. They used "floating" rails on rubber iso mounts to quiet and smooth out the engine.

If you're curious, here is a link to the mod.
